復活節 Easter

 Lesson Plan: Easter


Target Audience: 9-12 year-olds


Objectives:

-Students will be able to understand the significance of Easter and its traditions.

-Students will be able to use 5 conversational sentence patterns and 20 key vocabulary words related to Easter.


Duration: 60 minutes, with each activity not exceeding 20 minutes.


Materials:

-Computer with internet access

-Projector or large screen

-Images or videos related to Easter traditions (optional)


Warm-Up:

-Start the lesson by asking students if they have ever heard of Easter. Ask them what they know about the holiday.

-Show images or videos related to Easter traditions and ask students to brainstorm what they know about the customs and traditions associated with the holiday.


Direct Instruction:

-Explain to students what Easter is and its significance. Discuss the Easter traditions, such as painting eggs and having Easter egg hunts.

-Introduce the target vocabulary and give students time to memorize the words.


Guided Practice:

-Divide the class into small groups and give each group a set of materials to use for the activity.

-Have each group come up with a creative way to demonstrate their understanding of the vocabulary words and Easter traditions.

-Encourage the groups to use as many of the vocabulary words as possible in their demonstration.

-Have each group present their demonstration to the class.


Independent Practice:

-Provide each student with a piece of paper and pen and ask them to write a short paragraph about Easter and its traditions.

-Have them use as many of the vocabulary words as possible in their writing.


Closure:

-Have students share their writing with the class and discuss the different ways they used the vocabulary words.

-Review the vocabulary words and have students say them aloud.


Assessment:

-Observe students during the small group and independent practice activities to assess their understanding of the vocabulary words.

-Give a quiz or written assessment to check students' understanding of the terms.
